See some of the PPM’s beautiful pinball collection at SFO International Airport.
Right now, it is pinball featured at SFO. Best of all, it’s the Pacific Pinball Museum’s machines that you’ll see featured along with rare pins from Richard Conger’s Silverball Ranch in Sebastapol, CA.
Opening tomorrow, the finishing touches will be put on the finest public exhibition of Pinball Machine art, artists and history. Tim O’Brien was the interface between the SFAM and the PPM. Michael Schiess, Jem Gruber, Helmut Jordt, Richard Conger, Larry Zartarian, Gordon Hasse and Dan Miller all contributed games, information and help. Assistant Director Abe Garfield and Curator Kelvin Godshall designed the exibition and Principal Peparator Roman Korloev led the installation, which included preparators Robert Harris and Jason Rogowski.
The diplay will be up for 6 months. It also coincides with the opening of the Pacific Pinball Museum on Webster St. Alameda, CA. Please check out the Airport Museum’s website for more information on their displays.
Also stay tuned for news on the PPM’s weekend installation of machines to play at the airport near the exhibit. You can take BART to the SFO International terminal, walk a short distance and check out this incredible display and cornucopia of “pinformation”. Then pop into Lori’s or the Fireside Bar and Grill for a great lunch. All this is accesible without having to go through security. A rare opportunity to see an incredible display of American History.
